We are delighted to have partnered with The English Shepherds Hut Company as they work to help the farming community develop economic diversification projects with minimal initial capital outlay.
With the reality of cuts in EU subsidies and concerns around longer term crop prices and returns, tourism has become a popular alternative revenue stream. With the annual average growth of 25 percent in the staycation market since 2016, the opportunities to create good revenue from small, often unused areas of farm property are strong.
The English Shepherds Hut Company have invested in a fleet of 20 Shepherd Huts, specifically designed with holiday accommodation in mind, on an affordable rental scheme. This creates a means for farms with limited investment capital to quickly set up a wholesome and viable glamping holiday destination. Recognising for many farmers this will be an area they are not familiar with, the company will also provide them with marketing assistance, help set up their website and can even help them with obtaining planning permission.
Rental costs are just £400 a month on a fixed 36-month term with an option to buy at the end, with a discounted rate of £320 for the first 12 months to help keep initial start-up overheads down whilst the guest occupancy grows.
However, recognising many farmers may prefer to purchase rather than rent, Credo Asset Finance are delighted to be their recommended finance partner, and we can work with you to create a tailored deal with similar monthly payments that will result in ownership of the hut.
