Had cause to smile twice today.........................
1. Quoted customer last week and we lost out by £2.05 pm on a 5 year deal, that about £120 in total. Customer phones me today as he's had the competitions document arrive in the post. The cheeky beggars have tried to take an extra payment from him......so we actually saved him £340. And the opposition had sent him incorrect documents which would have required resigning so we saved him a load of hassle as well.....................
2. HSBC had given me a lead for a packaging machine which we sorted out in our usual quick, efficient and competitive manner. He'd rung me to thank me for looking after his customer so well. We were the cheapest quote he had and he had told the HSBC manager what a great company we are to deal with.
That's why I get out of bed in the morning...................
